“push the boundaries between sport and fashion” - Jared goldman (NB Design Director)
Overview:
I was selected out of 750 applicants to participate in a 3 week internship at the New balance HQ in Lawrence, MA. I worked on a team of 4 total footwear designers, 1 color/material designer, and 1 3D designer. I was responsible for designing a product that falls under the $120 price point for women’s trail running.
The challenge:
This was an accelerated process where we were tested to push the boundaries of exploration and deliver a viable concept. Designing a product that needed to be cohesive with other team members in an overall product line was a challenge as well.
